About Us
The Unhinged Version
Welcome to CMC Laser & Gifts — the little Michigan shop where we willingly point high-powered lasers at wood for fun and profit.
We are Jeremy and Kelly, and yes, we run this circus voluntarily.
Jeremy — Founder, Laser Gremlin, Chaos Technician
Jeremy is the reason this business exists and also the reason we can’t have nice things.
He spends 14 hours a day with the lasers, whispering sweet nothings to them, fixing the ones he broke, and breaking the ones he just fixed.
If you ordered something highly detailed, super custom, or borderline impossible?
Jeremy said “Yeah I can do that” before fully thinking it through.
He has been sleep-deprived since 2019.
Kelly — Operations Manager, Human Firewall, Professional Jeremy Wrangler
Kelly handles:
Orders
Customers
Packaging
Scheduling
The finances
Jeremy’s sanity (what’s left of it)
And everything else Jeremy forgot about
If your order showed up on time?
Kelly.
If Jeremy hasn’t wandered off into the woods yet?
Also Kelly.
She runs the day-to-day while Jeremy battles the lasers like a wizard with a tool budget.
What We Actually Do (When We're Not Arguing With Machines)
We create:
3D LakeArt maps that look like real lakes, not puddles
Personalized ornaments
Cabin signs that scream “we own a pontoon boat”
Engraved gifts for people you like
Engraved gifts for people you tolerate
Completely unhinged custom requests like “Can you laser my cousin’s face onto a cutting board?”
Spoiler:
Yes.
We absolutely can.
Why People Keep Coming Back
Because we’re not a big corporation.
We’re two gremlins in a workshop, fueled by caffeine, stubbornness, and the thrill of making cool stuff.
You get:
✨ Real communication
✨ Real craftsmanship
✨ Real humans (arguably)
✨ Products that don’t fall apart like the “Wish version” you almost ordered
Michigan Made • Family Run • Probably Too Honest
We love what we do.
We love making custom pieces that actually mean something.
We love working with customers who appreciate small-business chaos.
And honestly?
We’re just happy you’re here.
